The exhibition was opened on 23-th of March in the Ribiera Grande City Theatre on the island of São Miguel. The exhibit has been organised by Estonian embassy in Portugal in co-operation with the government of the Autonomous Region of Azores for the opening of Honorary Consulate in the Azores. The Azores have been named the “European Region of the Year 2010”, so the art of different EU member states is being introduced on the islands. The exhibit consists of 22 large-format works and will remain open for one month. After that the exhibition will move to the neighbour island Pico.
Assoori saared on nimetatud "2010. aasta Euroopa regiooniks" ja sellega seoses tutvustatakse saartel erinevate Euroopa Liidu liikmesriikide kunsti. 23. märtsil avati Ribeira Grande Linnateatris São Migueli saarel isikunäitus. Näitus korraldatakse koostöös Assooride autonoomse piirkonna valitsusega Eesti Aukonsulaadi avamise puhul Ponta Delgadas. Välja on pandud 22 suureformaadilist teost seeriast “Figuurid”. Näituse eksponeerimise vastu on juba huvi tundnud ka naabersaare Lajes do Pico omavalitsus.
